PersonaAIChat is a WordPress plugin that gives every member of your BuddyBoss community their own AI-powered chatbox — configured, branded, and trained specifically for them.
Most AI chat solutions drop a single generic assistant onto every page of your site. PersonaChat works differently. Each member gets their own profile: a custom assistant name, avatar, accent color, system prompt, and a private knowledge base built from uploaded documents. When a visitor lands on a member’s profile page, PersonaChat automatically loads that member’s chatbox — not a site-wide default, not a repurposed support bot, but an AI that knows who it represents and speaks in the right voice.
Setup is handled entirely from the WordPress admin panel. Admins create and manage member profiles in one place, upload PDF or TXT documents to each profile’s knowledge base, and configure quick-reply buttons, widget position, and branding without touching any code. PersonaChat handles the rest — matching the right profile to the right page, searching the knowledge base for relevant context on every message, and passing it all to the Anthropic Claude API to generate accurate, grounded responses.
The result is a community platform where every profile page feels alive. Visitors can ask questions and get real answers. Members are represented by an AI that actually knows their story. And site owners get a scalable personalization system that works automatically across every member on the platform.
BuddyBoss community sites have hundreds of member profile pages, but off-the-shelf chatbots serve one generic assistant for the entire site. Members needed their own AI persona — with their own personality, knowledge base, and branding — shown automatically when a visitor lands on their profile page.
Designed and built a WordPress plugin from scratch with a profile system that maps each chatbox configuration to a specific member URL. Admins create profiles with custom system prompts, avatars, quick replies, and document knowledge bases (PDF/TXT). The plugin resolves the correct profile at both page-load time and AJAX message time using the visitor's current URL, with a reliable fallback chain: member match → path prefix → site default. Documents are chunked and full-text searched at query time to inject relevant context into every AI response.
Every member profile page now shows a distinct AI assistant trained on that member's content. The chatbox appears automatically with the right name, avatar, and persona — no shortcodes or manual setup per page. Admins manage everything from a single WordPress settings panel.
